Details
The Control Cover is adjustable. You can
open it partially or almost straight up, depending
on how well your chimney draws. This saves you energy
over a regular damper system which can only be either
open all the way, or be shut. See U.S.
Department of Energy study results.
Durable Construction. The standard Control
Covers are constructed of cold rolled steel with
your choice of finish: either primed and painted,
or powder coated baked enamel for a more durable
finish. All hardware is supplied for installation,
including 30 feet of woven wire rope.
Installation is easy. To install the unit,
you will need a 5/16 masonry
drill bit to install the cable mounting in your
firebox. No drilling is

enamel. Add $25 per unit for satin black powder
coating. Add $75 per unit for uncoated stainless

sizes and are fabricated from cold rolled steel
and then painted with flat black fire resistant
enamel. Add $30 per unit for satin black powder
coating. Add $75 per unit for uncoated stainless
steel. CC2020 and CC2424 and any larger sizes are
available as split lids with two sets of control
hardware, at $79 additional cost.

If there is no flue tile on top of your chimney,
you can order a custom metal
flue tile mounting base fabricated out of angle
iron drilled with holes so that it can be lagged
down to your chimney top. Contact
us for details and a bid on custom bases before
ordering.
